While vacationing in Hawaii with my mom, I fell in love with surfing. Our friends that live in Maui offered to take me to a "local" hangout and teach me to surf, but time got away from us and I never got that opportunity. On a visit to Myrtle Beach in 2005, some friends and I decided to rent surfboards from the surf shop and teach ourselves. Needless to say, it is a lot harder than it looks from the shore and on the t.v. With a little help from my dad I was able to get up and ride a little after many unsuccessful tries. That was it. I was hooked.

Surfing the Waves

While vacationing in Hawaii with my mom, I fell in love with surfing.   Our friends that live in Maui offered to take me to a "local" hangout and teach me to surf, but time got away from us and I never got that opportunity.
